InterACT Church and Community Partnership, formally known as the Three Churches Project, is working in and around Meanwood, Leeds, to help build a stronger, life-giving community where people love to live and work.
Meanwood is a popular place and many people love to spend time here. However, it is a very divergent area where, alongside business developments, beautiful green spaces and strong community groups, there are also pockets of high unemployment, above average cancer mortality, poor health and housing.
The partnership reflects the longing of members of local Christian community to be an active part of bringing transformation to Meanwood that will address some of these inequalities, not only by providing practical support but, importantly, by bringing people together in fun and creative ways so that we get to know one another, overcome prejudices, build friendships and work together for the good of the community.
